The Church was founded on 11th January 2015 by faith in God alone with few believers and in response to a vision given to Rev. Tun Lin, aspires to be a Great Commission Church to be the light of Christ in Myanmar and in the world. There were only Rev. Tun's family in the first meeting. They first met in rent house. Slowly and steadily, the church began to grow as more dedicated people joined the group and it gradually spread to some parts of Yangon City. God is faithful and gracious! Our prayer is that we will continue to be faithful to Him and continue to grow in faith as we serve Him. Now the church has been expanded two daughter churches within Yangon Region. The church also has ten partner churches across the country. The church is affiliated to Myanmar Evangelical Christian Alliance {Reg. 200/4-22 (1334) R, M-215} which links with Asia Evangelical Alliance and World Evangelical Alliance.
A Note from The Pastor
Hope Christian Church is made up of friendly, loving people who together are serving the Lord Jesus Christ and are seeking to minister to the needs of others. We have ministries and activities for the entire family, from child to adults. We are an independent, evangelical, Bible believing church, dedicated to carrying out the great commission by reaching the lost with the Gospel and building up the believer with God's Word. We believe that Christ can meet all of man's needs, and we are working to carry this message to our city and even across the countries through our partner pastor's outreach. As we worship our Lord and enjoy the fellowship of believers, it is our aim and prayer that Hope Christian Church will bring honor and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. We take seriously our commitment to “Exalt the Savior, Equip the saints and Evangelize the sinner.” We are fervently praying and trusting that the Lord will see us through another year in spite of the current turmoil in our country. Therefore, we humbly ask you (friends and Christian community from around the world) to pray continually for the political change and democracy will prevail sooner. Pray also for the growth of God's kingdom throughout this land of Pagodas.
Hope Christian Church exists to show the love of Christ to those in Myanmar by sharing the Gospel, rescuing and bringing hope to orphans, and giving new identity to the lost. We strive to provide for the basic needs of each gospel workers we support: housing, food, clothing and basic supplies to conduct ministry. We seek to serve those who have not yet put their faith in Jesus Christ primarily through missionary evangelism and providing the financial ability for our Gospel workers to meet the needs of those they are reaching out to with the Gospel.Our ministries are at the heart of our mission to bring hope, spiritual growth, and tangible help to those in need. Currently, we are seeking financial support to continue and expand several key areas of ministry, including:
- Youth and Children’s Programs: Offering guidance, mentorship, and biblical education to the next generation.
- Outreach and Evangelism: Sharing the message of Christ to Buddhist people, we spread the gospel by distributing gospel tracts, house visiting, making friendship and prayer for the sicks.
- Food and Welfare Support: Providing basic needs for families and individuals facing hardship.
- Discipleship and Bible Study Initiatives: Equipping believers to grow in their faith and impact others.
